The last time we saw this crew on the blog they were a family of three and Emerson was the star of the show! And now, she has a little brother Nolan in tow….but she is still quite the little star! I hadn’t seen Emerson for a while so I wasn’t sure if she would be shy or not, but as soon as I got out of the vehicle she kept saying to her mom “that’s Becky”. Yup, you got it! By the end of the session we were great buds…she sang songs with me, made some great faces for me and was just a lot of fun in general! Nolan was so chill…..so chill in fact that he fell asleep half way through!! But that was the perfect time for us to grab some great shots of him just sleeping in the field!
We barely beat out a big storm that rolled through Winnipeg that night! When we started the session it was sunny and hot and by the time we finished there was lightening and thunder rolling in the distance!
ENJOY!
A few weeks ago when I was in Winkler I had a fun little shoot planned with my cousins daughter Austyn! When her mom and I started planning the shoot I instantly had the idea to bring her play tent outside. Jayci suggested bring along some pillows and other items from her room and BOOM, we had one pretty little photoshoot! This shoot goes to show that you can find gorgeous locations almost anywhere, because we shot these beside my brother-in-laws junk pile in their back yard. Ha ha. It’s one of my new favourite locations!
I knew this shoot was going to be lots of fun because Austyn is loads of fun! She showed up to the shoot with her little backpack full of clothes and goodies, she even brought me some fruit snacks just in case I got hungry….or just incase she got hungry and she had finished hers already 😉 We played with princess stickers, twirled, sang songs and talked about all her favourite princesses. Austyn told me her cousin Arie liked princesses too…I asked if she knew who Arie’s favourite princess was and Austyn answered “ME!”. Seriously, never a dull moment with this sweetheart!
We finished up this shoot with family pics in their new house! I love these family pics…such a fun way to document their new home before it’s finished and this will make a really neat keepsake to have on a shelf once the home is completed!
ENJOY!
When Tracy and I started brainstorming for this shoot our first thought was, how will we ever match the awesomeness of our music photos from last year!? But being outside it took things in a totally different direction and I think this shoot turned out equally as awesome! I really wanted a white backdrop to work with and Tracy really wanted something fun to keep the boys entertained and this is the “nutty” shoot we came up with! The balloons were such a fun element to work with and added such a fun splash of colour to the shoot. They were well worth all the trouble Tracy went to to get them (don’t ask! Lol).
As always Jack and Nick were so much fun to work with! Jack is a ball of energy!!! Full of so much personality! And Nick is just a little heart breaker, working the camera with his little looks and playing a little bit hard to get with the camera!! This is my favourite kind of shoot, playful and interactive!
This is going to be a long one!! Enjoy!!
You might have heard that quote about the cobbler’s kids having no shoes, well in my world that goes something like this “the photographer’s nieces wait the longest for photos”. These are Abby’s 9 month photos and she was a good 11 months before I delivered them. Oops!
This shoot started out with a few tears when Abby woke up from a quick little nap and wasn’t quite sure where she was. We weren’t sure how things were going to go but she was smiling and laughing in no time when her mom pulled out the dance moves and singing! Raffi always brings the smiles for Abby! Lots and lots and lots of smiles from this little babe!
ENJOY!
