Summer! Summer! Summer! What says summer more than a kiddie pool full of beach balls and balloons, flamingoes, pineapples and three sweet little summer girls! This shoot was SO much fun to plan! It came together pretty quickly when I decided I wanted to do a summer fun shoot with three of my favourite little girls. There are a couple DIY bloggers I follow on Instagram (@aww.sam, @studioDIY) that are such an inspiration to me…they’re always creating fun little projects and I often think….how can I make that work for a photoshoot!? Their use of colour is on point!! And it totally challenges me to see how I can incorporate little extra bits of coloured styling into my shoots!
Stella, Emily and Abby were the perfect little models! Stella and Emmy had lots of fun playing with all the little props and Abby….well she just does what she does best…sits around looking CUTE! So lucky I have these sweet girls to call upon when i’m feeling inspired and need to shoot something fun! Their moms are always willing to bring them along to any crazy shoots I have planned!
ENJOY!
When Jen emailed me about her session for this year I already had this idea mulling around in my head for them, so I figured I would throw the idea out there to see what her and Phil thought about it. I remembered seeing their pics taking the girls camping to Folk Fest every year so I figured this would be perfect for them! A colourful kitchy camping shoot! They took the idea and ran with it! Crafting that gorgeous tent, finding the play campfire set and those super cute little lanterns! My awesome brother-in-law cut me tree stumps, I found the perfect radio from Sunny Life, and we were set! Ready to camp!
This session was so much fun! Lucie and Léa are a blast and full of so much personality! Of course bear and Sheepy were along for the shoot and we just had to include them in some of the pictures!
Enjoy!!
Time for one of my favourite shoots of the year! This year it’s filled with shine, style and two sweet little valentines! I’m pretty sure that about 15 minutes into this shoot Gina and Stacy were probably thinking “why did she want our crazy kids for this??”, and ya maybe I was a little crazy asking two almost three year olds (threenagers) to be my models, but truth is I’ve been waiting for Stella to be my model for one of my valentine shoots ever since she was born!!! So I was up for the challenge and it wasn’t really that challenging at all….more like a LOT of fun! Be my valentine?? I’m not sure anyone could say no to these two sweet faces!
Stella and Griffin are BEST BUDS so I thought he was the perfect little valentine for her to bring along for the shoot, I think their favourite thing to do together is watch the garbage truck 😉
I hope you enjoy these two sweet little valentines, and when you’re done admiring their cute faces make sure you enter the LOVE DAY GIVEAWAY!

A month or so ago I posted a picture of a Polarn O. Pyret dress I was obsessed with on Instagram, I was dying to photograph a little girl in that dress! Well when no one told me they were buying the dress…I bought the dress! I couldn’t let this opportunity slip buy, I had to photograph it! My sister is probably so sick of me already commandeering her daughter for photoshoots! Especially when it entails me feeding her ice cream before bed…Sorry sister!
This photo shoot turned into Stella’s unofficial 2.5 year photos and I think it’s pretty perfect for her at this age since she LOVES ice cream or ice-eam in Stella speak. She will show up at my mom’s house and at 10am say “I need some ice-eam” and well who doesn’t need ice cream at 10am?! She has loved ice cream since she was little! Me and my mom were talking tonight about this picture we have of her eating ice cream in Mexico with my dad when she was 10ish months and she was staring up at him in awe like “this is the best thing in the world!”
Stella was SO fun at this shoot! She loved eating “sparkles” (sprinkles) and would hop down off her chair and grab a handful and then eat them one by one. So much for baking with those sprinkles! He he. This was really the perfect kind of shoot to do with her at this age, not tootin’ my own horn but I do think she had fun and hardly noticed I was putting her to work as a model!
I hope you can see in these photos just how much personality she is full of! She tells such great stories these days, I love her at this age! I always say that two might not be fun to parent, but it sure is fun to be an auntie of a two year old!
Enjoy!!
