Ever since my session with Emily using this day bed last summer I’ve been dreaming of a fun way to use it again…..i’ve also been wanting to do a little test shoot in my backyard so I figured this was the perfect chance to do both! Stella is obsessed with singing lately so I decided to theme a shoot around one of her favourite songs….Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!
We had so much fun and the results were so pretty that i’ve decided to offer this set as this summer’s Limited Edition Mini Sessions! Sparkles, stars, lace, cozy pillows….lots of fun for everyone!

What are the Twinkle Twinkle Mini Sessions all about? I don’t shoot mini sessions very often so you know these are going to be special!! These limited edition sessions feature a custom designed B2 Photography set filled with stars, and sparkles, the perfect setting for a daydream! Think soft pastel colours, cozy pillows, a kids sized antique day bed with a canopy of lace….a setting to create gorgeous and timeless images for you to enjoy for years to come! These are mini sessions you will not want to miss and they will be one of kind, never to be duplicated again!

Back when I was booking spring sessions Rob sent me an email interested in booking a mother-daughter session for his wife and girls, what a great idea! I thought this was so sweet and i’m sure it earned him some major hubby points! Rob and Kate moved back to Winnipeg from Ontario this year and while i’m sure they were bummed to leave their family and friends I was happy that it gave me this opportunity to photograph their family again! Since our last session you will notice another little lady! Avery and Elliot were looking too cute in their little summery outfits, Kate has a knack for picking out the perfect wardrobe! I loved capturing Kate and her girls interact together, you just see so much love for them in her eyes!
Always up for planning something special, Kate told me she was planning to make some flower crowns for the girls and asked me I had any other ideas to go along with it. I had been dying to do something with lace and this seemed to be the perfect idea to add a feminine touch to this shoot for the girls! Of course it wasn’t all about the girls, Rob jumped in a few shots so we had some family memories from the night too.

Mom’s are cool. My mom is the coolest. I’m so blessed to have a mom who is one of my best friends. Over the years we have spent so much time time together – travelling, shopping (I come by my purse obsession honestly!!), visiting in her sunroom…i’m a family girl – I love spending as much time at home on the weekends as possible! Even though we’re only an hour and bit apart it feels like oceans apart when you’re having one of those days when you just need your mom. There have been lots of those days this past year – thank goodness for FaceTime!
My mom is a woman of many talents, always ready and willing to help her children, nieces and nephews with sewing, gardening, decorating projects or just answering those “nurse questions” we all need answered Every now and then. This past year I watched my mom care for my dad and saw the example of what it is to be a Godly wife…I saw what “in sickness and in health” really looks like. Watching her serve and love my dad was an example and blessing not only to me and my sister but to everyone who witnessed it.
This year I wanted to do something different for Mother’s Day and this is my version of something “handmade with love.” I crafted my little heart out and matced up one of her favourite hobbies with her favourite little gals to make an album with some special photos taken just for her, photos to make her smile and remind her every time she sees them how much we love her!
Stella LOVES my mom’s garden, mom has little animals hidden in random places around the yard just for Stella to find. Stella loves all her little “garden pets” so much she even bought my mom a new one for her birthday this year 😉
