The Hantscher family made time out of their very busy summer schedule to meet me for some photos in the park last weekend, as always our time was very entertaining! Ashley and Dane seem to be getting so grown up and are keeping busy with all kinds of sports and Clare is just keeping busy with EVERYTHING! Mostly keeping us all entertain and chatting away about anything and everything.
This spring marked a pretty big date in this family as Dane finished his 40 month leukaemia treatment…what an amazing feat! With the help of her family and friends Jane organized a huge hockey game and social in celebration of completing treatment and as a fundraiser for Cancer Care Manitoba. Before that spell of very wet weather in late June, I lucked out and had a great and mosquito free even with the Mowat family. Kane and Rylee were blast and as soon as I started talking to Kane about Spiderman he warmed right up and we spent the evening keeping a watch out on the trees to see what animals might be living in the forrest.
We finished off this shoot with a little treat for Rylee and let her chow down on some watermelon 🙂 I love these shots! The pigtails, her blue eyes and that big slice of red watermelon? She is just too cute! She cleaned up that big slice!!! And well, it left her a little messy when the shoot was done, so her mom took some time to get her cleaned up and it gave us all a good chance to have a nice visit!
You might feel the need to go snack on some watermelon after you view these photos…you’ve been warned 🙂

I had grand plans for blogging this week, but with my ballet recital mid week that didn’t leave me many evenings for blogging! But this rainy Saturday that we’ve been left with gives me a good excuse to stay inside, hide from the rain and get some work done! The last sunny Saturday that we had I spent with the lovely Dufour family for a fun summer shoot! We started the session out at the school where Jordyn, Jack and Ruby’s grandma went as a girl. We all found it pretty entertaining that the back of the school had a door for the girls and another door for the boys and they actually used to make the boys and girls go in those separate doors! After some fun at the school we headed to the park and pulled out some lemons and limes to keep the kiddos entertained!! We all know kids love balls to throw and play with but sometimes they are not the most stylish things to have in pictures….fruit totally takes care of that!! Love the colour the lemon and limes added to this shoot!! Jordyn was also pretty excited to snack on some of the slices I had cut up before the shoot 🙂
As always, it was a total pleasure to have these kids in font of my camera! Each of them has such a distinct and different personality and it’s fun to see that come out in their photos! These little ones are ALWAYS crowd pleasers on the blog, so without any further chatter from me, ENJOY their cute little faces!!
When I went in search of a location close to home for these two cuties I found a gem that I knew they would love because it had 1. stuff to climb on and 2. rocks! I remembered from our last session together that Ricky loves rocks and sure enough a few minutes into the session Ricky was asking me if we could take some pictures on the rocks! These two have grown since the last time we saw them on the blog but they are still as CUTE as ever! It’s really fun to watch these two interact together – when I was taking pictures of Maddie, Ricky was quick to jump in the shot and smother her with a big bear hug! When I was taking pictures of Ricky, Maddie was behind me making faces and trying her best to make Ricky smile, but he was stoic and would not give into his sister antics 🙂 And in the pictures of them together you can just see the sibling love that exists between these two….one of my very favourite pics from this session is one of the two of them , Maddie is daydreamin’ and Ricky is giving her a great.big.hug. Sibling bonds are so special 🙂
