You might recognize these cuties from the blog a couple summers back….well they are a little bit older this year but just as cute as ever! We met up one evening a few weeks ago and these little ladies spent the evening hamming it up in front of my camera….there were lots and lots of giggles with these sweet little ladies!
Some other exciting news is that gorgeous family is soon to be expanding! Leah and Hana are going to be big sisters!!! I’m sure their little brother or sister is going to be smothered with love, hugs and kisses from them when he or she arrives <3

When I first started emailing with Leah about Asha’s birthday session she told me since Asha was a sumer baby she wanted to do an “ice cream smash” instead of a cake smash and I was instantly on board! Who doesn’t love ice cream?! Well actually it was frozen yogurt and Leah and Daivin weren’t sure if Asha would like it because she had never had it before! Well…she like it and she did such a good job holding such a big ice cream cone!
But before we dug into the ice cream we had to take some family shots of course!! So we head to a path close to Leah and Daivin’s house that she had found earlier that week. I love all the family shots from this shoot, you can just feel the love between these three! Asha clearly adores her mom and dad! It was very cute how she would often just lean right back and cuddle into her dad, or peak around her dad’s shoulder to get a glance at her mom. So sweet.

I always love my shoots with the Epp family….and after everyone one I call it my new favourite shoot of theirs…so here is my current fave 🙂
When we were planning the shoot Kelly asked me where we were going to go, so I pulled up my spreadsheet of hidden gems and sent her a few options and this was her choice….what a good choice it was! This weird thing happens when I shoot at old buildings….they tend to get demolished or fenced off after I have been there…well this time it was the opposite! This building was old and paint-less when I first scouted it and then when we showed up it had a fresh coat of paint! And it’s like they knew we were coming because it perfectly matched their wardrobe!
Can you believe that Kenzie is FIVE already? She celebrated her fifth birthday with a Minnie Mouse Cake back in May and we had perfect weather to mark the occasion with a shoot in early July! ENJOY!!
And we ended off the shoot with one great big PHOTO BOMB!

There are so many things I love about this next session! I love Finley’s polka dot dress, how much fun the family photos are, the rainbow paper garland from Scout & Acadia and how colourful everything is. And then there’s the baby herself! I LOVE Finley’s blonde hair that has a few flips and curls at the ends, I love her blue eyes, I love all the expressive faces that she makes and I love her tiny little teeth. I love her very professional over the shoulder model pose 🙂 and how she kept leaning over the end of the chair to try and see where her little light up balls went on the ground! So cute!
The last time we saw Finley she was just a wee one and over the year she has sure grown! While she has grown a lot one thing remains the same as the last time I saw this family…..there is LOTS of love and laughter in this family! When I look back on the photos of the whole family or just Finley with mom or dad I can’t help but smile…how cute is this little family?
Marcia took so much time in planning this session, from the paper garland to their wardrobe…and it sure paid off, love the results of this fun and colourful birthday session for Finley! Enjoy!!
