One day after a weekend of winter fun with her family, Tracy came to me with the request to take some fun pictures of her and her boys. She was little bit bummed that she was always taking the pictures and wasn’t usually in the pics besides a selfie here and there. This deserved a photo shoot!! I really wanted to deliver something special for her because well, she is one amazing friend!!! This girl….she has been a constant source of support to me over the last year, she is always there to listen, offer kind words and she gives the best hugs. She really is something special!! And she is an amazing mom too!! After spending any time with her and her boys you can just tell that she makes life so much fun for her them. I’m sure once Jack and Nick are older they will appreciate their mom’s listening ear and kind words and advice so much. Tracy is one of those girls who falls into the category of “cool mom”. I just love her so much and I’m so happy that she gets to star in these photos with all her boys!
After a long winter I usually get pretty antsy to start shooting outside and get going on some fun projects. When Tracy came to me for this shoot I had just the idea for her! I probably talked her ear off about my ideas when she asked me if I thought it would work to do something indoors – I had been waiting to execute a shoot like this with a couple stylin little guys. Her boys fit the bill! A little prep on my end (cutting out music notes) and a little prep on her end (shopping, record player gathering) we were ready for a rockin’ good time!! This was such a perfect session for two active little boys, lots of interaction, dancing, singing and just a whole lotta fun!
ENJOY!

This family spent the summer cruising the open roads in their beloved “Rosie” so we decided it was must to work Rosie into the summer shoot this year! We loaded up with blankets, a croquette set and lots of sweet road trip treats and head out to Stanley Park to enjoy the evening.
When I look back over our years of shoots together I notice how far i’ve come as a photographer but I also notice how comfortable these gals have become in front of the camera too! We had a little pack of kids who were very interested to watch what was going on and it didn’t throw these girls off their game one bit! Grace under pressure! Te he.
Golden locks, braids, freckles, dimples, patchwork blankets, so much goodness packed into one shoot!
Enough chatter…this blog post have been long over due so here go! ENJOY!

When I first started emailing with Emily and Isabella’s mom about this shoot we were talking rainbow colours, balloons and ice cream treats….and that morphed into a hot-air balloon ride to an ice cream picnic. Talk about fun! They showed up with a car full of balloons and a picnic basket full of all things perfect for an ice cream sundae…sprinkles, Skittles, bubblegum…yummy!
I love all things sweet and colourful so this session was right up my alley, top that with two extra sweet little girls and it was a dream shoot for me 🙂 Emily and Isabella were so much fun! Emily was working her charm for the camera and Isabella was full of little giggles and little looks of mischief …like when she put her whole face into the popcorn bowl and popped back up with one kernel in her mouth. Seriously, this shoot was so much fun!
Enjoy!

The idea for some kind of bubblegum themed shoot all started with me looking for something to put on my mantel. Random hey? I was looking for something colourful and quirky and after some searching I decided I needed a bubblegum machine. Well that got me thinking…how can I work my new bubblegum machine into a shoot!? I started to tell my friend Erika about my great idea to somehow grow a bubblegum orchard in a few short weeks….she texted me later that night with a picture of a wooden ladder that she had hunted down for me in one of her dad’s sheds and a message that said “YOU NEED A YOU PICK SIGN!” and I would say that was the moment that things just started snowballing for me and all the rest of the ideas just started flooding into my imagination!
I knew I wanted to offer this set as my first Limited Edition (One time only!) Daydream Mini Session. I have been taking a little extra time this summer to relax and spend time with my family and I knew this was a great opportunity to get in a bunch of shoots and open up the opportunity for a Daydream Session to all of my clients. My model for this session was 18 months but this set was designed with kids of ALL ages in mind. Heck, i’d love to have my own picture taken in a candy paradise like this one! Email me to book your session in the Bubblegum Orchard!
Now, back to the model. My sweet little niece Stella is 16 months old! We are having SO much fun this summer! I spend as much time as I can with her on the weekends and I love watching all the things she is learning! She is such a little Curious George, some of the pics in this session of her looking in pails just crack me right up, I loved watching her explore this set!
Well, enough chatter….welcome to The Bubblegum Orchard!!
