It’s December! There’s (a little) snow! Peppermint everything! It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Now that December has hit I find the schedule is packed and holiday season flies right by! I made sure that this year I didn’t let the Christmas season fly by without getting some fun Christmas pics with some of the littles in my life. Believe it or not I had Stella and Abby over for these pics in SEPTEMBER!
ENJOY!
I look forward to this shoot EVERY YEAR! This year when I was talking about family photos with Kara and she mentioned she might not need updated family pics since they just had pics at a family wedding, I was about ready to BEG her to let me take photos from them, but lucky for me she said “maybe we can do just the girls” YAY! A few weeks later she texted me a pic of this little stand she bought on Varage Sale and asked how she should paint it….from there the apple stand idea was born. With some buckets from her mother in law, some from my garage and some from MCC, filled with apples from Auntie Kendra and a delicious smelling pie from her too we were ready to go!
As I was editing these pictures I could believe how grown up the girls were looking. Sarah was just a baby during our first summer of Jack and Ruby weddings….how time flies! I always say how lucky I am that photography brings wonderful people into my life and Kara is one of those people. If it wasn’t for photography we might have never connected and since our first lunch at Gingerwood Lane she has become one of my dearest friends. I will always admire her talent as a photographer, I think she has more talent in her shooting finger than I have in all of me….and in addition to her talent as a photographer I admire her skills as a mother, wife and just as a good person in general. She has a helping heart, always willing to help anyone with words and actions. She walks her talk! And it shows in her girls who are just as kind and sweet as their mom is. Her words of encouragement and comfort always seem to show up on my phone just when I need them. I am so thankful for her and her friendship and feel so lucky that she lets me capture these memories for her family year after year.
ENJOY!
When Mary emailed me to tell me her daughters wanted to do a summer shoot my imagination instantly started running wild with ideas! Alisha and Julia had a location in mind and it went perfectly with my visions of a big bunch of balloons and some summer fun! Of course they are always game for any of my crazy ideas and my day dreams came to reality a few weeks ago.
These girls are always a JOY to work with! They always come so excited, well planned and ready to have some fun! It has been so wonderful watching them grow into beautiful young ladies in front of my camera! I really couldn’t believe how much they have changed since last year! These two might have been a wee bit shy when we first started working together years ago but, they have become naturals in front of the camera and we always have so much fun together! It’s such a pleasure when your clients become your friends! I love keeping tabs on these girls on their Instagram accounts, so creative! And Alisha is quite the amazing photographer herself!
Enjoy these summer fun photos and maybe spot these cuties on the blog agin this fall sometime too…YAY!
A few weeks ago when I was in Winkler I had a fun little shoot planned with my cousins daughter Austyn! When her mom and I started planning the shoot I instantly had the idea to bring her play tent outside. Jayci suggested bring along some pillows and other items from her room and BOOM, we had one pretty little photoshoot! This shoot goes to show that you can find gorgeous locations almost anywhere, because we shot these beside my brother-in-laws junk pile in their back yard. Ha ha. It’s one of my new favourite locations!
I knew this shoot was going to be lots of fun because Austyn is loads of fun! She showed up to the shoot with her little backpack full of clothes and goodies, she even brought me some fruit snacks just in case I got hungry….or just incase she got hungry and she had finished hers already 😉 We played with princess stickers, twirled, sang songs and talked about all her favourite princesses. Austyn told me her cousin Arie liked princesses too…I asked if she knew who Arie’s favourite princess was and Austyn answered “ME!”. Seriously, never a dull moment with this sweetheart!
We finished up this shoot with family pics in their new house! I love these family pics…such a fun way to document their new home before it’s finished and this will make a really neat keepsake to have on a shelf once the home is completed!
ENJOY!
