I go so far back with this next lovely face that it’s a surprise this is her debut on the blog! Janelle and I go back to my university days….me, her and our good friend Amanda had so many adventures together….John Mayer concerts, summer nights at Half Moon, ballet classes and many many summer days floating around to The Wreckers. I was a little bit of a hermit when I was in university…that all changed when I met Janelle! She is so confident and outgoing…I would like to think a little of that confidence rubbed off on me during all our years hanging out together!
Fast forward a few years and I got the chance to photograph Janelle and her husband Dustin! It was so great to have them in front of my camera, before I even got to the session I knew it was going to be amazing and that Janelle was going to be such a natural in front of the camera. They didn’t disappoint! The loves of these two just jumps off the screen! They are so cute and sooooo happy….with good reason, this shoot was extra special because they were using it to announce the start of their adventures in parenting!!

Last time we saw these two we were pretending to be at the beach….but this time we really were at the beach!! Just two weeks ago the weather was quite a bit different outside, instead of pouring rain it was sunshiney and warm!!! We dug our toes into the sand, blew up some beach balls and hit the beach!! And as always, I had a blast with this crew!

When I first came across The Joyful Life Co on Instagram their business immediately interested me…those of you who know me know my motto….Choose JOY! It’s no secret I have a love for all things ice cream and sprinkles…you know who else loves ice cream just as much as I do? Stella! And when she got a new Hanna Andersson ice cream dress this summer I knew it was the perfect excuse to head to the farm for some photos with my Anagram ice cream balloons in tow!
We had so much fun at these photos! 4.5 is such a fun age to photograph! Her big brown eyes were just sparkling as she was laughing at her mom behind me! She has turned into such a little lady and I love listening to all the stories she tells these days, she’s quite entertaining!
