I’ve always wanted to take some newborn photos outside amongst some overgrown grass and a few weeks ago the conditions were perfect and I got my chance! I met this gorgeous family early one Saturday morning in an effort to beat that July heat and we hid from the sunshine in the shade of some gorgeous big trees. It was a super fun and extremely relaxed morning as well hung out and took some photos. Enjoy!!

This gorgeous sun kissed session was another one of those early June sessions that got rained out again and again and then turned into an early July session! This session checks off two favourites for me – a favourite location and my favourite time of day! We head out into the country to this hidden gem for an evening session to mark Kenzie’s 4th year photo shoot!
Kenzie is at such a fun age, the stories she tells me always amuse me! When she hopped out of the vehicle she had two things to show me…first her sparkly Tiny TOMS that she got shopping in the states and secondly she had made a craft for my mom at daycare. Nope, she’s never met my mom but she still made this for her….how cute is that?
Kenzie started taking dance classes this year so we finished off this shoot with a little wardrobe change into her ballet gear….if you missed that blog post you missed out on something mighty cute so you better check it out after this one!!

So things have been a bit quiet on the blog here lately, certainly not because of a lack of photoshoots, but because the hubs and I were moving to our new home! So we were piled under a mountain of boxes and now i’m piled under a bunch of shoots that I need to get up here on the blog!! Starting with a shoot I had at the beginning of July with three adorable little ladies: Piper, Halle and Willow (and of course mom and dad too!). This family came to the shoot sporting my favourite thing for summer photoshoots….COLOUR!!! I love me some bold colours and they knocked it out of the park! My favourite thing about their ensemble was that mom, Tiffany had a coloured bangle in each of the colours her girls were wearing – so cute!
We giggle, made faces and funny noise, ate popcorn twists and found soft grass to tickle Piper with….it was definitely an entertaining shoot on a hot summer morning! Love it!!!
