This was one of those shoots where everything was just perfect – a perfect sunny night with an adorable family who has killer style! I had been eyeing this location for a while and I knew this crew would be perfect for it! As mom, Tracy was planning their wardrobe and texting me pictures I could see it all coming together in my mind and I knew this one was going to be awesome!!
My favourite thing about this session (besides the family!) was how relaxed it was! We played some “What time is it Mr. Wolf”, some follow the leader, we danced, we hula hooped….it was a blast and the time just flew by! And as the time flew by I blew through memory cards and got so many amazing shots of this family! This is just a small sampling of them! ENJOY!

This family has grown by one little lady since we saw them last summer! I was SO happy we were able to fit in a shoot while they were out for Christmas visiting family. In typical Manitoba fashion there was a blizzard the first date we scheduled the shoot but lucky for us we planned a snow-date! Unfortunately a delay in the shoot meant their dad was already home in the States, but their grandma and auntie were able to come along and lend lots of helping hands!
The camera loves these two little ladies! Elyse’s sweet curls and Kaylee and those huge blue eyes! Elyse was SO entertaining she sang Away in a Manger for us, read books and counted in Spanish!

As you can tell from my post title i’m multi-tasking tonight….editing and singing along with The Sound of Music! As I was listening to the lyrics for this song I thought it was the perfect post title for Zoey…this little lady is just like a cloud…you can’t catch her! We’ve seen lots of this family on the blog this year! It was a big year for them…a bump session, Easton’s newborn session and now a session just for Zoey!! This shoot marks Zoey’s second birthday…hard to believe she is two already! We tried to keep this little lady entertained with puzzles and “mo mo’s” (marshmallows) at this shoot…she never stayed still for long but I still managed to capture lots of photos of the many faces of Zoey and her gorgeous big eyes!

I seem to meet up with this family on days that resemble the day from Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day…..there even might have been traces of snow on in the air on the October day that we meet up for this shoot! But we found some shelter in the trees and mom came prepared with lots of different layering options, blankets, mittens and sparkles for a little bit of fun! They also came prepared to this shoot with treats to keep us adults warm…Starbucks! Seriously, I get to work with the most lovely people who even bring me treats to sessions!
Helga is a little ball of energy and within no time she had forgotten about the cold weather and was just as entertaining as always! She is always full of laughs and smiles…I’m not sure I’ve ever seen her without a smile on her face!
My favourite part of this session was all the cozy family shots we got! Some big time faves in this post!
