One day after a weekend of winter fun with her family, Tracy came to me with the request to take some fun pictures of her and her boys. She was little bit bummed that she was always taking the pictures and wasn’t usually in the pics besides a selfie here and there. This deserved a photo shoot!! I really wanted to deliver something special for her because well, she is one amazing friend!!! This girl….she has been a constant source of support to me over the last year, she is always there to listen, offer kind words and she gives the best hugs. She really is something special!! And she is an amazing mom too!! After spending any time with her and her boys you can just tell that she makes life so much fun for her them. I’m sure once Jack and Nick are older they will appreciate their mom’s listening ear and kind words and advice so much. Tracy is one of those girls who falls into the category of “cool mom”. I just love her so much and I’m so happy that she gets to star in these photos with all her boys!
After a long winter I usually get pretty antsy to start shooting outside and get going on some fun projects. When Tracy came to me for this shoot I had just the idea for her! I probably talked her ear off about my ideas when she asked me if I thought it would work to do something indoors – I had been waiting to execute a shoot like this with a couple stylin little guys. Her boys fit the bill! A little prep on my end (cutting out music notes) and a little prep on her end (shopping, record player gathering) we were ready for a rockin’ good time!! This was such a perfect session for two active little boys, lots of interaction, dancing, singing and just a whole lotta fun!
ENJOY!

When I dream up a session they usually start from a simple idea or item and snowballs from there, the first thing I had bought for this session was the LOVE balloons and after buying them I kept thinking of the song “L is for the way you look at me”….wouldn’t it be fun if I had a retro microphone for this shoot and some little performers!? After a New Years coffee date with my friend Kara I knew exactly who those little performers needed to be, as her girls spent much of our coffee date singing their favourite songs for me! Sarah got a microphone set for Christmas and it reminded me so much of myself when I was a kid. The world was my stage, I would perform for anyone who would watch!! (One of my favorite Christmas gifts ever was My First Sony!) I asked Kara if I could borrow her girls for the shoot and thankfully she agreed! From there the texts of outfit pictures started….I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again…Kara puts together a mean photoshoot wardrobe! And by that I mean PERFECT! When the girls came over Sarah said to me “it looks like a stage!”. Mission accomplished! We tossed balloons, sang songs and had a grand time!
Lots of LOVE to everyone this Valentine’s Day! Once you’re done admiring these cuties don’t forget to enter the LOVE Day Giveaway!!

What a beautiful fall day we had for Helga’s photos a few weeks ago! It was a drastic difference from our frigid shoot last year, this year it was all sunshine and no flurries!
What a fun shoot we had wandering around Omands Creek Park throwing around leaves and Helga doing her best kitty cat impression (how cute is that head band?!). It just kept getting better from there when it was time for a wardrobe change Helga showed me her adorable Livie & Luca leather boots, complete with dinosaur spikes in the back. To die for!
Enjoy this playful session!!

When I first started emailing with Emily and Isabella’s mom about this shoot we were talking rainbow colours, balloons and ice cream treats….and that morphed into a hot-air balloon ride to an ice cream picnic. Talk about fun! They showed up with a car full of balloons and a picnic basket full of all things perfect for an ice cream sundae…sprinkles, Skittles, bubblegum…yummy!
I love all things sweet and colourful so this session was right up my alley, top that with two extra sweet little girls and it was a dream shoot for me 🙂 Emily and Isabella were so much fun! Emily was working her charm for the camera and Isabella was full of little giggles and little looks of mischief …like when she put her whole face into the popcorn bowl and popped back up with one kernel in her mouth. Seriously, this shoot was so much fun!
Enjoy!
