So things have been a bit quiet on the blog here lately, certainly not because of a lack of photoshoots, but because the hubs and I were moving to our new home! So we were piled under a mountain of boxes and now i’m piled under a bunch of shoots that I need to get up here on the blog!! Starting with a shoot I had at the beginning of July with three adorable little ladies: Piper, Halle and Willow (and of course mom and dad too!). This family came to the shoot sporting my favourite thing for summer photoshoots….COLOUR!!! I love me some bold colours and they knocked it out of the park! My favourite thing about their ensemble was that mom, Tiffany had a coloured bangle in each of the colours her girls were wearing – so cute!
We giggle, made faces and funny noise, ate popcorn twists and found soft grass to tickle Piper with….it was definitely an entertaining shoot on a hot summer morning! Love it!!!
A couple weeks ago I FINALLY had my session with Owen after a whole bunch of rained out evenings! I came armed with my camera and he came armed with Animal Crackers and two hands full of cars. We had a very playful evening hiding behind trees, searching for acorns and playing with rocks….a favourite of Owen’s! I have so many images from this session of the family playing together in the grass and I LOVE them!! I love it when family’s can let loose and play like they would if I was not there!

I had grand plans for blogging this week, but with my ballet recital mid week that didn’t leave me many evenings for blogging! But this rainy Saturday that we’ve been left with gives me a good excuse to stay inside, hide from the rain and get some work done! The last sunny Saturday that we had I spent with the lovely Dufour family for a fun summer shoot! We started the session out at the school where Jordyn, Jack and Ruby’s grandma went as a girl. We all found it pretty entertaining that the back of the school had a door for the girls and another door for the boys and they actually used to make the boys and girls go in those separate doors! After some fun at the school we headed to the park and pulled out some lemons and limes to keep the kiddos entertained!! We all know kids love balls to throw and play with but sometimes they are not the most stylish things to have in pictures….fruit totally takes care of that!! Love the colour the lemon and limes added to this shoot!! Jordyn was also pretty excited to snack on some of the slices I had cut up before the shoot 🙂
As always, it was a total pleasure to have these kids in font of my camera! Each of them has such a distinct and different personality and it’s fun to see that come out in their photos! These little ones are ALWAYS crowd pleasers on the blog, so without any further chatter from me, ENJOY their cute little faces!!
It hadn’t been too long since the last time I saw Reid so when he jumped out of the truck on the morning of the shoot we picked up right where we left off, chatting about his birthday party (he had a Winnipeg Jets cake) and what he watched on the drive in from Winkler (Shrek, and his favourite character is Pinocchio). This little guy is ALWAYS entertaining and he did not disappoint on this morning! I followed him around as he explored and “hung out” on the rails in the skywalk, we raced his Bumblebee Transfomer back and forth, we talked about his favourite shoes and all kinds of other fun stuff. There is so much to love about Reid – his blue eyes, his dimples, his great big smile, his “cheese smile”, how he says “i’m a real boy!” just like pinocchio….he is so sweet and SO loving….he loves his little sister Beth, his mom and his dad oh.so.much and you can see it how he smiles at them and how he runs to them when he bumps his head and needs a kiss to make it all better.
Can’t wait for my next shoot with this fan to mark Beth’s six months! Enjoy these pics of this blue eyed heartbreaker 🙂
