There are so many cute little things I love about Lucie; those BIG blue eyes, those tiny little teeth and those cute little faces that she makes! Even when I took her newborn photos she was making cute little faces at me and she didn’t disappoint at her 6 month shoot!
Lucie brought along some adorable ensembles from her closet and she even let me help pick out what she would wear (three cheers for rompers!)! But my favourite thing she brought along was a gorgeous quilt that was made for her with lots of love by her Grandma. Isn’t it so beautiful? I love all the colours! I love it when clients bring along something special like this to work into their photos that is special and unique to them.

When Lynda and I were planning a location for this shoot we were brainstorming and I listed a few places as options and one of them sparked something that made Lynda realize we had the perfect location just waiting for us in her own sisters back yard! When I pulled up at the yard I was instantly giddy when I saw some old run down buildings, big trees, wooden fences, my favorite kind of country spot!….so many options and didn’t even make it around to all of them! We will definitely be visiting again in the future! I wish I could just transplant the yard to Winnipeg so I could shoot there ALL the time!
We had such a relaxing afternoon visiting, snapping, watching Reid dig into his candy that he got at the parade that morning. When this family gets together in front of the camera they are so good at ignoring me and paying all the attention to their kids…I love it and the fun natural family pictures that come out of it.
Sweet little Beth has grown even more cute since the last time we saw her! Chubby six month limbs (my fave!), sparkling blue eyes and blonde hair just like her big brother! It was so easy to get her to smile, I think all it took was for me to smile at her! She was happy as can be, especially when her brother was near! These two are so cute together, Reid smothers her with love and hugs and it’s really cute to see in the pictures whenever Reid is near Beth is often reaching out to him. Awe.

I’ve always wanted to take some newborn photos outside amongst some overgrown grass and a few weeks ago the conditions were perfect and I got my chance! I met this gorgeous family early one Saturday morning in an effort to beat that July heat and we hid from the sunshine in the shade of some gorgeous big trees. It was a super fun and extremely relaxed morning as well hung out and took some photos. Enjoy!!

It’s time welcome little Cooper back to the blog! He has been busy growing and changing since the last time we saw him at his newborn shoot! Check out his gorgeous blue eyes (how do I get so lucky to photograph all these blue eyed babies?!) and those irresistible chubby cheeks! LOVE it!
We started out this shoot in Kyla and Jon’s gorgeous back yard that backs onto a forrest of trees, but we moved things inside after a few pics out there…it was pretty windy outside and cooper is more of an inside baby 😉 We ended the shoot off with some shots in just his diaper to show off some of those adorable baby rolls – and then the smiles came out!! What is with babies and their love for being in just a diaper! Never fails, undressing a baby at this age always seems to bring out the smiles at a photo shoot. I’m not complaining…cuz this dude is pretty cute…clothes on or not!
