Over the past three months my family and I have all become quite smitten by this sweet little lady….her little voice, her big smiles and her little personality. She loves her play mat, loves to “talk” and much to her auntie Julie’s dismay she LOVES the birds on her swing.
Stella brought out the big smiles for us during this shoot….and all it took was us taking off her pants! lol. She loves to have those legs free!
Happy 3 months to Stella! Can’t wait for all the fun we will have together this summer!!

Stella is growing so fast it’s hard to keep up with the blog posts!! These pics are from one of our Saturday dates when she was just a month old. Since Stella has been born I have hardly missed a weekend with her. I must say, I was smart to take a few months off this winter because I have been able to fully enjoy this sweet little girl and I haven’t missed the work one bit 🙂 I love our weekends together – this particular weekend my parents were in Mexico so I spent pretty much the whole weekend at my sisters house – it was so fun (hopefully my sister thought so too, lol). My favorite thing is putting Stella to sleep – it’s like a game. One she’s not very good at yet and I always win! Te he. Victory is sweet because it always ends with a cuddle.
Last weekend before I left I went to go put Stella down in her crib so my sister could take a nap and Stella woke up…I told my sister “just leave her – she’ll fall asleep”. When I got back to Winnipeg my sister texted me that Stella fell back asleep and had a great nap…my response? “I taught her that” 😉

Well it’s been quite a fun month and a little bit with Stella! I have been pretty diligent with keeping my schedule manageable this winter so that I can spend as much time as I want to with my sister in Winkler. We’ve had some pretty special days just hanging out at her house – me holding, playing, taking pictures with Stella and Gina just doing whatever she needed to get done at home. I feel so blessed to be so close to my sister and have these memories together!
The last few pics of Stella are from her road trip to the big city to her Auntie Julie’s house! That afternoon Stella’s great auntie Louise came to visit her too! As we were visiting with Auntie Louise we started to talk about how special Aunties are – and as someone who has SO many special aunties in her life I totally agree….and i’m so lucky I have had such amazing examples set for me – I can’t wait to make so many fun memories with Stella like the memories I have with my aunts 🙂

Time for a peak inside Stella’s nursery!!
When I found out my sister was pregnant I immediately started looking on Pinterest for nursery ideas! Gina just wanted something with bright colours, so I took it upon myself to find the perfect inspiration for her! I searched and found something that I thought she would love….I showed her the pictures and she was ready to order the fabric after one look! My talented mom sewed the bedding, curtains, change pad cover and pillow; I made the standouts for the walls (Dr. Suess print from HERE and the Bible verse by me); we found the lamp at Target, Stella’s Auntie Melissa painted the piggy bank and the decal was put up carefully for Stella by her dad….clearly LOTS of love went into this room!
