Sweet little blue-eyed Owen is 6 months already!  This has to be my favorite age to photograph babies, they’re starting to sit up, they can’t run away from me and they have so many of those adorable baby rolls!  Chubby cheeks, chubby legs, I love it all!!

You might not recognize this little 8 month old sweetie and that’s because she’s grown oh so much since the first time we saw her on the blog!  Addison was just a tiny newborn the first time we saw her on the blog and she has changed so much since then!  Now she has those adorable baby rolls, chubby cheeks, gorgeous eyes and eye lashes and lots and lots of GIGGLES!  We had a gorgeous July afternoon to tour around her parents farm and find some fun places to photograph her and her parents.  I was VERY excited to see what Addison’s mom had picked out for wardrobe for the shoot, and I was not disappointed check out how well dressed and accessorized she was for the shoot!

This was a hard blog post for me to get ready….hard because I was sifting through what felt like a gazillion gorgeous photos of little Jordyn, how was I ever going to choose 15 to blog?!  Well I failed…instead I picked 28!!

Truth be told I had been waiting for this session since back in February when her mom booked it (Three cheers for planning ahead!).  After my first session with Jordyn I just couldn’t wait to photography the curly haired cutie again!  Seriously, what’s not to love about this little girl?  The curls, the giggles, her shoes (okay so maybe her mom had something to do with that), how she sometimes picks her nose just to get a laugh out of everyone around her, and to top it all off she has pretty awesome parents who are so friendly and fun to be around!  I had a blast with all three of you and can’t wait for next time!!

A couple weeks ago I met up with Mackenzie and her family for her two year photos!  Her birthday was in June but like many other shoots in June it was rained out  But the day finally came and it was gorgeous outside! I chased Mackenzie around the park and she kept me very entertained chatting away.  She is SO sweet!  I loved how when I would say “follow me!” she would go “ohhkay!”.  And her big blue eyes are to die for!  This little girl is going to be a heartbreaker!  After we got some shots with Mackenzie, little brother Owen came out of the stroller for some family photos.  At times I forgot he was along because he slept in the stroller pretty much the whole time!  Can’t wait for my 6 month shoot with him next month too!!!

I seem to be getting a lot of practice with two year olds lately, and sometimes I think their parents probably think i’m nuts following their kids around and running backwards in front of them….but there really is method to my madness…..on to the photos….

Can you feel the love?

This next family is pretty special to my husband Chris and I.  Chris goes waaaaay back with Evan and as a couple Evan and Jen have alwas been there as friends for Chris and I.  When we first started dating I remember the first time I went over to their house, I was a little nervous, I felt like it was the big “meeting the friends test”, but as soon as I walked in the nerves went away.  They were so welcoming, kind and FUN!  We’ve had so many great times together since then, a lot of them consisting of everyone playing Wii and me falling asleep on the couch  They accept me for who I am….early bedtime and all!

A couple weeks ago we planned to take Torrin to Tinker Town for some photos.  When I left my house it was POURING and even though we live pretty close it was not pouring at their house, but as soon as we walked out the front door some scarry looking clouds started to move in and we decided to postpone the Tinker Town fun.  I felt so bad that the weather didn’t cooperate.  Everyone looked so great so we decided to take just a few pictures in the front yard of their home.  Good thing we did because we got some great shots of Torrin with his favorite umbrella and some GORGEOUS shots of Evan and Jen.

Everytime I go to photograph this lovely family I am always entertained….and now there’s one more little person keeping me entertained!  Meet baby Maxim!  What a sweetheart!  His big brother and sister love him SO much!  Alexander hardly wanted to leave his side when we were taking pictures of him!

After Max had his moment to shine in front of the camera we went to a nearby park and got some pictures of the whole family.  It seems like Alexander and Gabrielle have grown up so much since the last time I saw them, or maybe it’s because I see them taking care of their new little brother so well!  Enjoy this loooong post

So I must admit, I’ve fallen a little bit behind on blogging….with good reason, I have a lot of great stuff coming up!!  This is a shoot from a couple weeks ago, the weather had been horrible leading up to this day but things warmed up and cleared up just in time!  The last time we saw these boys on the blog Grant was just a newborn and Dylan was two, after taking a few shots at their home we walked down the street to do Dylan’s favorite thing….throw rocks in the pond  Check out the fun we had!

On Saturday afternoon I met up with Rob, Stacy and their little boy Brando to explore their neighborhood and take some pics with them!  We started out at a little park and then headed to BDI and finished things off with a delicious strawberry smoothie at The Park Theatre.  I love finding little local cafes like this to finish off a shoot in, gave me a chance to sit and visit with Rob and Stacy while Brando played quietly with some toys.  I found out that Rob is an extremely talented jewelry designer and even made Stacy’s engagement ring himself!  I was admiring Stacy’s earrings at the shoot and when I got home found them on his website…just might have to order myself a pair

Stacy and Rob are headed to Vegas (SO jealous!) to get married in a few short weeks!!!  Have a blast you two!!

It’s a rare occasion that this family is all in Manitoba at the same time so this occasion had to be taken advantage of for some family photos!  While the number on the thermometer wasn’t that scary on this Sunday it was one of those days that was kind of damp outside and therefore ever so chilly!!  The Kehler family were troopers though, braved the cold and listened to my crazy requests like sitting on the cold ground!

I adore this picture, I can just feel the love radiating from it!  So special!

At this point the guys were about done with photos and ready to go inside and warm up…but we had to squeeze in a few couple shots!
