Sweet little blue-eyed Owen is 6 months already!  This has to be my favorite age to photograph babies, they’re starting to sit up, they can’t run away from me and they have so many of those adorable baby rolls!  Chubby cheeks, chubby legs, I love it all!!

You might not recognize this little 8 month old sweetie and that’s because she’s grown oh so much since the first time we saw her on the blog!  Addison was just a tiny newborn the first time we saw her on the blog and she has changed so much since then!  Now she has those adorable baby rolls, chubby cheeks, gorgeous eyes and eye lashes and lots and lots of GIGGLES!  We had a gorgeous July afternoon to tour around her parents farm and find some fun places to photograph her and her parents.  I was VERY excited to see what Addison’s mom had picked out for wardrobe for the shoot, and I was not disappointed check out how well dressed and accessorized she was for the shoot!

A couple weeks ago I met up with Mackenzie and her family for her two year photos!  Her birthday was in June but like many other shoots in June it was rained out  But the day finally came and it was gorgeous outside! I chased Mackenzie around the park and she kept me very entertained chatting away.  She is SO sweet!  I loved how when I would say “follow me!” she would go “ohhkay!”.  And her big blue eyes are to die for!  This little girl is going to be a heartbreaker!  After we got some shots with Mackenzie, little brother Owen came out of the stroller for some family photos.  At times I forgot he was along because he slept in the stroller pretty much the whole time!  Can’t wait for my 6 month shoot with him next month too!!!

I seem to be getting a lot of practice with two year olds lately, and sometimes I think their parents probably think i’m nuts following their kids around and running backwards in front of them….but there really is method to my madness…..on to the photos….

Can you feel the love?

Everytime I go to photograph this lovely family I am always entertained….and now there’s one more little person keeping me entertained!  Meet baby Maxim!  What a sweetheart!  His big brother and sister love him SO much!  Alexander hardly wanted to leave his side when we were taking pictures of him!

After Max had his moment to shine in front of the camera we went to a nearby park and got some pictures of the whole family.  It seems like Alexander and Gabrielle have grown up so much since the last time I saw them, or maybe it’s because I see them taking care of their new little brother so well!  Enjoy this loooong post

After a crazy busy weekend I’m back in the blogging seat!  As busy as it was, it sure was a great weekend!!  Kara and I are so overwhelmed with all of the support we’ve gotten from family, friends, clients and fellow photographers for our new venture with Jack and Ruby Photography.

But, before the crazy weekend, my friend Kelly, her little Owen and I went to go visit our friend Tracy, bring her some supper and have a little “meet Jack” night.  Of course I couldn’t possibly go without my camera when there were going to be two B2 kiddos in one space!  So here are a few photos of the two handsome little men who were keeping us entertained that night!

Some shots of my most recent session with everyone’s favorite little fashionista!

I love it when I walk into a clients home and instantly feel at home.  That’s how I felt on this day….when I arrived Ashley was getting her hair done, Dane was playing PSP and Clare was getting her diaper changed!  Mom, Jane, told me to feel free to check out the house and I was delighted to find each kid had very distinct rooms letting me know a little about about them and what they love!  Since Dane was the first one ready (of course the ladies need a little more time we started by taking some photos of him, and then some of Ashley and we finished up with Clare who is just shy of one year old!  I had a blast and the Ashley and Dane were so helpful when we were trying to keep Clare’s attention!  In fact, I wouldn’t mind having Ashley behind me all the time when I shoot babies!  She was dancing, singing and doing anything to get her sister to smile and giggle….as you’ll see….it worked!  Enjoy!

A year ago he was “the baby on the stairs” and now he’s the baby with the cake!

Smash cake by Meghan’s Cakes and Cookies!  She’s AMAZING!  After Reid was done with the cake me and his parents had a taste of the icing…delicious!

Sometimes I wonder what babies think of us grown-ups as we take their pictures….mom, dad, photographer all trying to get their attention, making funny faces at them, singing funny songs to them.  Sometimes they must think we’re nuts!  And sometimes it’s so much work being so cute that they just fall asleep!  I never mind when babies fall asleep on me, it’s fun to capture them in such a peaceful state!

For the long weekend Chris and I made the trip down to Minneapolis with my sister and bro-in-law and my cousin and his wife and their baby Jaxson.  It was great to getaway, spend some quality time with family, do some shopping, visit Ikea and eat at, my favorite, The Cheesecake Factory!

One evening after I serenaded Jax with a lovely rendition of “Pants on the Ground” he fell asleep laying right in front of me….and what’s the first thing I do when I have a sleeping baby in front of me?  Well grab my camera of course!
