fall is here, hear the yell
back to school, ring the bell
brand new shoes, walking blues
climb the fence, book and pens
i can tell that we are gonna be friends

Last weekend I met up with Cailin and her parents for an ever so fun, back to school shoot!  Cailin is in Grade 2 this year and brings along so much spunk and personality everywhere she goes!  It is always quite entertaining on Cailin’s shoots….she is already quite the little posing princess!  So. Much. Fun!!

Huuuuuge shout-out to Loralei, Cailin’s mom who packed their van to the brim with books, wardrobe, table and chairs, cookies, cupcakes (YAY!), tea sets and sooooo much more!  Thank-you so much for helping me create the visions in my head!!

Enjoy the sneak peek!!!

Today could not have been more perfect.  A gorgeous blue sky, with clouds at just the right time.  A gorgeous couple, with giggles and kisses at just the right time.  AND a location to die for!  I was in heaven!  So so so so much more to come of this gorgeous couple, but just a tiny peek for now…..because I can :)

So anyone who has emailed me for a session this fall knows the fall months booked up FAST and a long long time ago, when summer was still just beginning!  This next family coming up knew to plan ahead this year after not getting in for a session last fall.  Pamela waited patiently for a whole year to have her fall session with me!  Talk about flattery.

A few weeks ago we spent a Sunday morning at the park and I chased Jonah around (a spunky two year old who loves The Wiggles and will soon have a new brother or sister to entertain!), took some family shots and some shots of Pamela and her perfect pregnant belly!

Thanks so much for believing in me enough to wait a whole year for a session!!  I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed my morning with your family :)

There’s a little mischief in those eyes I think ;)

The above shot is probably one of my favourites…there’s just something about it, the cheeks, the eye lashes the smile… :)

GORGEOUS blue eyes!

LOVE a little lens flare and LOVE this family shot on the swings!

♥ Charmed

Posted under Family, Kids

Just over a week ago I was charmed by sweet little Olivia.  She might be tiny but she has a big personality!  And as you might remember from her last session, she also has the most beautiful eyelashes ever!  It’s hard to believe how much she’s changed in the past year!  Gone are those chubby baby cheeks!  Don’t let her tiny little size fool you, this little girl is FULL of personality!!  She was pretty good at playing shy and pulling out her pout when she was looking for some laughs!  She kept me on my toes!!

Love this next shot, it reminds me of one from her one year session when she was waving at the camera!

Jodie and Igor’s wedding was literally a bright spot in a dark, dreary and wet week.  Sometimes the week before a wedding I check the forecast every day to see what the wedding day might have in store, but for this wedding I was not worried at all!  Jodie was prepared for whatever the weather had in store for us with three indoor locations booked ‘just-in-case’.  We were happy not to have to use them since it was so gorgeous outside!!

The day started off with the girls getting ready at Jodie’s sisters home, Two Chicks and a Bag of Makeup were there to get the girls all camera ready and once everyone was all beautified the girls walked a couple short blocks to the church for the ceremony.  Jodie stayed back with her two sisters to make the walk together and it was such a sweet time walking to the church with them.  They were so excited!  After the ceremony it was photo time!  Everyone hopped into the school bus (appropriate since Igor’s a teacher!) and head off to all the locations that Jodie had picked out….each spot had special meaning to it….a theatre because Igor and Jodie are self proclaimed movie buffs, the school where Jodie’s mom told me her dad went to school and Jodie’s favourite bakery!  After that it was off to Fort Gibraltar for the reception and the party!

I have to say, I felt so lucky to work with Jodie and Igor on their wedding day!  They are two of the most gracious people, always quick to say thank-you and making sure everyone around them has whatever they may need.  Their wedding party was also so fun and easy to work with!

Thanks to my main man Chris who was my second shooter for the day!!  And special shout-out to our table at the reception (who was filled with some of my favourite past clients and co-workers!) who put up with me basically ignoring them and hiding behind my computer to work on the slide show during the first two courses of dinner!

On to some photos and click HERE for a slideshow!!!!

Jodie’s garter had some pieces of her grandma’s wedding dress sewn onto it.  How special!!

II LOVED the tank tops Jodie made for herself and all the girls in the wedding party!

Very excited on the walk to the church!

Don’t forget the SLIDESHOW!!

Sweet little blue-eyed Owen is 6 months already!  This has to be my favorite age to photograph babies, they’re starting to sit up, they can’t run away from me and they have so many of those adorable baby rolls!  Chubby cheeks, chubby legs, I love it all!!

A couple weeks ago I met up with Erin and Brad at The Forks for their e-session.  It was kind of a last minute decision and I would say it was a great decision!  E-sessions are always a good way to get comfortable in front of the camera….and it didn’t take long for these two to get comfortable!  Brad had Erin laughing in no time and anyone who’s a regular reader at the blog knows I LOVE when the laughs come out at ANY kind of session!

These two are getting married in a few short weeks in Lockport and i’m so excited for their wedding day and all the time they’ve set aside for pictures!!  It will be sure to be a great day with lots and lots of laughing and special moments :)

Oh and….yes, her eyes really are THAT blue!  I’m so envious!
