It has been such a pleasure photographing Mackenzie through her first year! It was so much fun to see the little personality she has developed since the last time I saw her at her 6 month photos. It was quite funny to learn that Mackenzie really does not like the feel of grass…probably not as funny to her parents who had to carry her around for most of the session….until we found a nice patch of cement for her and then she was off in no time, crawling, pulling herself up and eating rocks!

“uhhh, can someone please tell this camera girl I don’t do grass!?”

“i’ll sit here, but i’m not touching it!”

“Mom rescued me! I think i’ll hold onto her for the rest of the afternoon”

One of my faves!

very cute, especially the last two. I had an 18month old recently who also didn’t like grass. Weird. Or maybe she just didn’t like me… could have been either! I LOVE her checkered shirt, so cute!
how adorable!! I love the family picture!
Thanks so much, Becky! You captured Kenzie’s expressions so well. You can tell how much she warmed up to the camera by the end of the shoot. Good thing for concrete
I love them all, especially that last family shot. She’s still got those big beautiful blue eyes that I love so much.
Wow, these are awesome!
