It has been such a pleasure photographing Mackenzie through her first year! It was so much fun to see the little personality she has developed since the last time I saw her at her 6 month photos. It was quite funny to learn that Mackenzie really does not like the feel of grass…probably not as funny to her parents who had to carry her around for most of the session….until we found a nice patch of cement for her and then she was off in no time, crawling, pulling herself up and eating rocks!

“uhhh, can someone please tell this camera girl I don’t do grass!?”

“i’ll sit here, but i’m not touching it!”

“Mom rescued me! I think i’ll hold onto her for the rest of the afternoon”

One of my faves!

I have so many great pictures from Kendra and Garth’s wedding that i’m going to split them up into two different parts. I had such a blast with these two! We spent the first part of the day with just the two of them and took them out into the country and then to the town water reservoir of all places (it was a cool looking round building with awesome textures that I had been eyeing for a while!). Kendra was so cute, during the shoot she kept saying “i’m having so much fun!”, what a compliment! Music to a photographer’s ears!! My favorite part about brides and grooms on the wedding day is that they can’t keep their hands off each other! These two were no exception and made such an adorable couple! Thanks for letting me be part of your day!
And many thanks to the amazing Trish who was my second shooter, second set of eyes, partner in crimes for the day!!!
Enjoy the pics everyone and get out there an enjoy some of that SUNSHINE too!!!

Getting ready for the first glance of her man….I love this first photo of Kendra, can’t you almost here her squeeling?!

I love how excited her dad, mom and sister look in the background!

So I confess, I have been a bad blogger lately! Last week I was distracted by my dance recital and this week the big distraction is the ring that has landed on my left hand and has completely blinded me of all the things on my “to do” list. My apologies to everyone waiting for their sneak peeks…they’re coming!!!
Leah and Daivin were married this May in Jamaica and when they came home from their amazing wedding they celebrated with all their friends and family with an at home reception. The day was probably one of the warmest we’ve had yet this “summer” but things quickly turned quite blustery at the end of our photoshoot and we all almost blew away. The reception was such a blast, their families are amazing and there was so much love filling the tent that night! Leah and Daivin are one of the sweetest couples I know, it is so much fun watching them together because their love just radiates!! They’ve waited long enough…so on to the photos!!

Just over a week ago Kara and myself set off on the long awaited best friends photoshoot with Sonya and Joelle. After they had their hair and make-up done by Tracy (she did such a FAB job!) they head into Winnipeg with Kara and I met up with them once they arrived. The top secret theme for the photo shoot was the ultimate girls road trip!! And to make it feel like an authentic road trip we surprised the girls with a pretty sweet ride for the day!!
I can’t say enough what a pleasure it was to photograph these two girls! They were so sweet and it was so much fun to watch them laugh and goof off together like I do with my best friends. They were SO comfortable being themselves in front of the camera making the job of photographing them SO easy!
Kara….thank-you so much for dreaming up this grand idea together with me, from the moment we sat for dinner that one night and schemed up this great theme I knew it was going to be nothing but an outstanding day! I feel so privileged to have been able to shoot with you…you inspire me to think outside of the box and challenge myself! I think it was so perfect that this contest was themed around friendship because your friendship is something I value SO MUCH!
On to some photos….and a slide show at the end of the post…ENJOY! Click here for Kara’s photos!!
P.S. Thanks to the amazing Genevieve (the creative genius behind my blog and logo!) who helped me fix my blog today when I had thought I broke it!
