Thank you to Tracy for enhancing the girls beauty, thank you to Kara for being such an amazing girl to shoot along side of, thank you to Sonya and Joelle for being such amazing subjects to photograph (you were such troopers lasting the whole day!), thank you to Jen and Ben for letting us take your car, it made it feel like we really were on a road trip and thank you to Dennis the snow cone guy who was randomly on the highway on our path.

Choosing a few pics to blog tonight was SO HARD, but I know i’ll get a chance to share many more, so I closed my eyes and picked 3 (well not quite).  Here are a few i’m lovin’.

This morning I went over to meet three week old Grant and his family.  We had some fun taking pictures and his big brother Dylan joined in the fun for a few shots too.  Grant is still so tiny at three weeks old!  He stayed awake for the whole session and didn’t make much noise, just talked to us every now and then and he was always sure to follow his mommy’s voice.  When the sun shone on his hair at just the right angle you could see that it was a little bit red like his dad…only time will tell if it will change or not as he grows!

Dylan did a little jumping on the bed when we went in the bedrorom to get some shots.  If you look in the mirror you can see his mom and lil bro.

I met with these two kids on a Sunday afternoon when they were fresh off a birthday party the day before!  Madeline turned one this week and Ricky had just celebrated his third birthday last month!  Definitely an exciting time!  Madeline was such a little sweetheart crawling around in her party dress charming the camera with her pretty eyes!!  Ricky also kept me quite entertained telling me about his favorite movies, showing me some tricks and how fast he can run….perhaps one day we’ll all see him sprinting in the Olympics!  On the the pics…

I looove taking pictures of kids on mom & dads bed…I was so happy to walk into the bedroom and see tonnes of natural light and a mountain of pillows! Fun!

This weekend the sun finally shone so I head out with Amber for a fun anytime session.  I was a little scared about the weather because even though the sun was shining it was not too warm outside!  Thankfully by the time we went out it had warmed up some.  This was her first time in front of the camera for something like this and she was a total natural!!  She really is always just as happy as she looks in the photos.  She has one of those bright and cheery personalities that you can’t help but love this girl!  We had so much fun and i’m already thinking about where we can go for our next fun day out together!   P.S….this is going to be a long one!  If you make it all the way to the bottom, thanks lol.

When I had this flash of genius and realized that we had a gem of an old house sitting in a village empty just waiting to be photographed I knew right away who I wanted to ask to come along.  Lucy is one of those girls who ALWAYS looks cute!  And she didn’t disappoint, when I showed up at her house, shoes on she was ready to go with all her outfits picked out…and as always, she looked gorgeous!  We had such a great time laughing, reminiscing, having girl talk and taking a few pictures along the way.  

Just a little history about this house…this is the house my dad grew up in.  When we were kids him and my uncle used to always tell me and my cousins “if you move to the village you can have a pool”  we only realized later in life the “pool” was the watering hole in the back of the yard that the cows drink from.  I think my dad thought I was crazy when I told him I was going to do a shoot at the house.  When I got home from the shoot I proudly showed him the pictures and proclaimed to him that “there were even no mice!”  to which he replied…”you just didn’t see any” lol.  Anways…here’s the full sneek peak for Lucy.

How cute is she?!

During my first session with Reid he was the star of the show and we didn’t take any family photos, instead I went back a couple weeks later and we had another quick session.  Reid was a couple weeks older but just as cute!  He was awake for pretty much the whole session just watching what was going on.  I’m starting to think he just doesn’t like to sleep when i’m around because when I saw him at church the next day he was fast asleep!  Thanks for letting me share this special time with you Chad and Lyn!  I remember so well when you guys would hang out in my parents basement with my sister and I was not cool enough to come down…who would have thought all these years later i’d be taking baby photos for you!  Such a pleasure  

Lucy is one of those people with a laugh that’s infectious!  We had so much fun taking these shots, there was a lot of giggling and some serious photo taking.  She’s such a great model, the camera loves her!  More to come, I just had to blog a few when I got home today.  I tried a bunch of different color treatments with these photos, so each one is different!

I had the pleasure of shooting this mom-to-be (of #2) and family a couple weeks ago (time flies!) and am only getting to blogging it now….sorry Shannon! Thanks for your patience!!

Shannon is one of those women who is absolutely GLOWING when she’s pregnant.  She is such a beauty and I was so excited when she asked me to take these pictures for her.  I was also so excited to take some pictures with her and her adorable daughter London….London however, was just not feelin’ it!  But we still managed to sneak in some great shots with mom and daughter.  Enough of my babbling, on to the photos!  She’s waited long enough!

I think here Shannon was trying to convince London to come over.  I love the way she smiles when she talks to her.  Awe.
