Today I got a big yellow envelope in the mail, I was SO excited! I LOVE getting mail. I looked at the printing on the envelope an thought to myself “I know this printing!” And I knew it was Hutch even before I opened it, because that’s just like her…sending packages in the mail….she does special things like that. One time she bribed me to come to Church on a Wednesday night when I would have rather just stayed home…she said to me “maybe you’ll meet you’re future husband tonight, and i’m leaving you a surprise in the bathroom cupboard” and sure enough, I did meet my future husband that night and she did leave me a surprise. It was the most special card….with a picture of me and John Mayer on the cover, and the inside was filled with little tidbits about how special our friendship was.
Hutch is the sweetest and most kind girl you will ever meet. Kinda of shy at first, but not shy at all when you get to know her! She’s always up for chicken fingers at Grapes or pizza at Pasquales, she will travel anywhere to see a good concert (namely Justin Timberlake or John Mayer), she will go crazy if she eats McDonalds or has Caffeine, she’s okay with turning the heat to MAX in a hotel room, she is dedicated to any activities she joins (especially swim teams!) and she can dress in layers like nobody’s business! Hutch is the kind of friend who is ALWAYS there for you, will always listen to you vent and is always thinking of others!
So….what was in that big yellow envelope? Rolling Stone Magazine. And not just any Rolling Stone Magazine, the very hard to find in Winnipeg Rolling Stone with John Mayer on the cover. It made my day!! Hutch, JM and I go waay back. On Saturday I asked Hutch to type out the Rolling Stone article so I could read it all (lol), I guess she figured getting me my own copy was easier
This past Saturday when it was very stormy outside, Hutch and I found shelter inside the Millennium Library and we took some photos and chatted over drinks and snacks. Here’s the first bit of our fun shoot!

It’s a rare occasion that this family is all in Manitoba at the same time so this occasion had to be taken advantage of for some family photos! While the number on the thermometer wasn’t that scary on this Sunday it was one of those days that was kind of damp outside and therefore ever so chilly!! The Kehler family were troopers though, braved the cold and listened to my crazy requests like sitting on the cold ground!

I adore this picture, I can just feel the love radiating from it! So special!

At this point the guys were about done with photos and ready to go inside and warm up…but we had to squeeze in a few couple shots!

LOVE this next shot of Melissa and Dale! Oh so sweet!

My favorite things about visiting Alex and Gabby are listening to Alex talk about all the things he loves, dinosaurs, dragons, jet planes and cowboys; he has such a vivid imagination!! Annnnd, I love listening to Gabby talk in french…there’s nothing cuter than a child speaking in french….and it’s even cuter when they count half in english, half in french!
Of course after I leave I am always oh so jealous of all of Gabby’s cute little shoes! If only some of them came in bigger sizes, I would wear them too!

I would have LOVED to have a closet door that was a chalk board as a kid….actually, I would probably still love that as a grown up!

Sheriff Alexander!

Reading the Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs! He is one VERY smart kid!!

So I may go on and on about how fantastic my clients are but that’s because it’s true! They are fantastic and PATIENT! Chantel emailed me way back in the fall wanting to book a session for her daughter Jordyn…well I had cut back on sessions leading up to my wedding and I was all booked up. So she patiently waited for the first session I had available….in 2010! I hope it was worth the wait!
I was so excited when I met Jordyn that cold Saturday morning….she was in the cutest little outfit and was oh so happy and friendly! ”I be two!” She told me….she had just turned two that week in fact! We had quite the fun time exploring, checking out books and taking a ride in the elevator.

Peek-a-boo amongst all the books! Love this sequence!

I hear squeels and giggling when I look at this shot! Love it!

At this point Jordyn noticed that giant glass elevator that looked oh so exciting! So we took a break so she could take a ride!

Then we took some photos of mom and dad….

…and Jordyn joined us again because she did not want to miss out on that excitement!

Shortly before Christmas I went to go visit Tim, Karen and Kaylee for some some family and baby bump photos. Any day now Kaylee will be a big sister!

I guess we should have another baby so I can have pictures like this taken, very nice Becky!
